I grew up in N.Ireland and then went to St Andrew's University in Scotland. After graduating with a Master of Arts degree, I moved to England where I worked for the RNIB, The Leprosy Mission and Deafblind UK. I then trained to be a nurse and have worked in the NHS, in a private capacity and also as a Parish Nurse.
I undertook a 10 month course in clinical reflexology with Jubilee College , Nottingham, which was taught by David Wayte, a director of Professional Reflexology and member of the Royal Society of Medicine. Two specialised units focused on ‘Enhanced Fertility and Maternity Care' and ‘Palliative and Cancer Care with Reflexology'. My post-graduate training in advanced techniques is ongoing and has included reflexology for menopause, for pain management, for retired people, and for stress and anxiety. I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists .
